BUXY<\/h4>\n\t
\n\t\t
\n\t\t\t

Located on the road linking the Grands Vins de Bourgogne, Buxy is a dynamic village that has kept its medieval charm. In the maze of its streets you will come across the Romanesque church, the ancient houses of the Rue des Foss\u00e9s, the cellars hollowed out of the rock, the Saccazand tower (home of the last royal prosecutor) and of course, the12th<\/sup>\u00a0century red tower which is a village landmark.<\/p>\n

MONTAGNY-L\u00c8S-BUXY<\/h4>\n\t

\n\t\t\t

Located 3 kilometres west of Buxy, this ancient Burgundy village is built at the apex of a natural amphitheatre of vines. Montagny-L\u00e8s-Buxy enjoys an eminent reputation thanks to the quality of its wines - which were the preferred choice of the Monks of Cluny. Writings of the time show that the Canons
\nof Saint-Vincent were some of its greatest fans.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 The 4 km interpretive vineyard trail of Montagny<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

SAINT-VALLERIN<\/h4>\n\t
\n\t\t
\n\t\t\t

Situated 4 km south of Buxy in the middle of the vineyards, Saint-Vallerin is one of the 4 villages from which the Montagny appellation is produced. The village has a beautiful partially Romanesque church crowned with a stone bell-tower and rich in baptism records.
\nJust below the church there is a magnificent covered communal wash-house. Among the many castles, that of the Hameau de la Tour houses an aviary in each of its towers.
\nA statue of the Virgin, placed on the cliff overlooking the village, offers a wonderful panorama where Mont Blanc regularly appears illuminated by the rising sun. It is on this plateau that we find limestone grasslands dotted with boxwood and lined with stone walls.<\/p>\n

Located on the road linking the Grands Vins de Bourgogne, Saint-Boil generously marries hills and pastures with its rich heritage. Here you can visit a Gallo-Roman quarry, the 12th<\/sup>\u00a0entury Romanesque bell tower, the viaduct of Crainseny and the spring, La Goutteuse.<\/p>\n

CHEN\u00d4VES<\/h4>\n\t

\n\t\t\t

Located on the road linking the Grands Vins de Bourgogne, the village shelters some beautiful houses, a Romanesque church, ancient vintner houses and grand properties of the 19th<\/sup>\u00a0century.
\nThe commune encompasses 5 hamlets, each offering an intriguing heritage: the chateaus of Thil and La Bouthi\u00e8re, the wash-houses and ovens of Filleti\u00e8res. On the Valottes side, a haven of peace awaits you with a fishing pond and a picnic area.
\nThe heights of the commune also provide some beautiful views.<\/p>\n

JULLY-L\u00c8S-BUXY<\/h4>\n\t
\n\t\t
\n\t\t\t

The commune is built in the form of an amphitheatre on the slope of a low hill. At the top is the church and from this viewpoint you can see the plains of the Saone and Grosne to the east and the vineyard hillsides to the west. In the hamlet of Ponneau surrounded by beautiful forests, we find the chateau with its chapel named for Saint Jacques; this also features a statue of San Sebastian. 4 kilometres south of Buxy, the vineyards encircle the village and the hamlets of Saint-Vallerin where you can see some beautiful stone houses.<\/p>\n
